Maria Josefina Montoya is a peaceful, fun-loving girl. She was born on March 19, 1815, making her story take place in 1825. She lives just outside of Sante Fe, New Mexico, on her father's rancho. She enjoys playing the piano, sewing, caring for flowers, drawing, learning herbal remedies, and would someday like to follow in Tia Magdelena's footsteps be a curandera. In our group of dolls, Josefina is the girl who always says, "chillax." She doesn't like people fighting; it annoys her. She often tells Kit to stop being so annoying, but in a more eloquent manner. Josefina's least favorite chore is the laundry, because honestly, who wants to do that?
